The Alphonsian Youth Pilgrimage is a tradition in the Redemptorist Youth Ministry to gather all active youth ministers to celebrate faith and deepen their relationship with Christ and promote greater camaraderie and communion among youth ministers. It started in the year 2002 at St. Clement’s, Iloilo City.
Objectives:
The Alphonsian Youth Pilgrimage, as a periodic gathering of all RYM youth ministers, aims to offer its pilgrims:
- an opportunity for encounter
- an occasion to reflect on the themes of Alphonsian Spirituality
- and an avenue to exercise our common vocation as missionaries
As a pilgrimage, it hopes to provide an opportunity for encounter: (1) encounter with God through the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist and in personal and communal prayer; (2) encounter with fellow youth ministers in group activities, tracks and sharing; (3) and encounter with the self in reflections and meditations
As a gathering of Redemptorist youth ministers, it intends to offer the time to reflect on the themes of Alphonsian Spirituality that would deepen and strengthen their characters as Redemptorist Youth.
