Redemptorist Missionaries: Walking Together in Hope and Solidarity

Inspired by the 26th General Chapter, the Redemptorists of Cebu embrace a mission of mercy and solidarity, bringing the Good News to the margins.

Redemptorist Retreat Ministry

The retreat ministry involves Redemptorists in conducting retreats and recollections for the clergy, religious and laity amongs whom the youth have a special place. Through this ministry, the Redemptorists strive to lead people to greater awareness of their Christian calling and witnessing to their vocation as lay people in their own ecclesial communities. This ministry is carried out in our own retreat houses or elsewhere. There are three Redemptorist retreat houses in the Southern Phillipines: the Redemptorist Retreat House (Holy Family) in Cebu, the Scala Retreat House in Bacolod, and the St. Clement’s Retreat House in Iloilo.

Churches and Shrines

Throughout the world, Redemptorist churches are known as places of solace and warmth. they are sanctuaries in the real sense of the word, places where people feel safe at home. this is often due to the availability and dedication of Redemptorists whose ministry has been marked by closeness to people offereing a place of welcome, openennes, inculsivity, and safety. Our Churches, especially our Shrines, are indeed integrated into our missionary charism. It is becuase, though we go to the peripheries to proclaim the good news, they also places of "permanent mission" and starting points for missionary outreach and evangelization in the true sense.
